Joe Santo Yepez is a Detroit-born singer, songwriter, and entertainer whose voice has been captivating audiences for over 35 years.

Raised in the heart of Michigan’s rich musical tradition, Joe developed a sound rooted in classic soul. His extraordinary vocal range and signature falsetto have earned him more than sixty first-place titles in vocal competitions across the state. In July 2025, he won First Place at the Grand National Contest held at the DeVos Performance Center in Grand Rapids, Michigan. He has also earned First Place recognition in competitions hosted by the Fraternal Order of Eagles, adding to his long-standing record of competitive excellence.

In 2007, Joe was discovered by Motown legend Martha Reeves and signed to 2nd Generation Records. His Detroit hit “Have You Ever Wondered,” produced by Michael J. Powell, known for his work with Anita Baker, marked a defining moment in his recording career. Since then, Joe has accumulated more than thirty-five professionally recorded tracks and continues to create new music with the same passion that began when he first stepped on stage at five years old.

Beyond the accolades, Joe’s greatest inspiration is love.

For more than a decade, Joe has shared both life and music with his partner, who is also his creative collaborator and co-writer. Together, they write and perform songs that reflect real experiences and genuine connection. Their latest single, “Summertime Affection,” was written side by side and brings their love story to life through melody and harmony.
